View Thread: the ricing of a celica...

Ok, some of you may remember the fellow from work who had the riced 6 cylinder "Cobra" mustang. Fortunately, he wrecked it and saved mustang owners everywhere from further embarrassment. Well, to replace it he bought a little silver celica--not a bad little car. At least it's a stick. Decent looking cars. Well today he comes pulling in, it has this nasty swoopy big ass double decker spoiler, big dual silver windshield wipers, clear tailights, and a big fat puffy looking blue steering wheel (or steering wheel cover).

*sigh*... :slap:

Gosh... if one thing bugs me about ricey cars, it's those darn bright silver or red or blue or whatever color wiper blades you can put on them. They're so frikken ugly... :hit:

Notice that while he apparently spent hundreds of dollars no doubt on big wings and clear lights, etc, the concept of actually buying SNOW tires rather than the low profile tires on it seems like a foreign idea...(yes, that is snow in the pic...)

A-Tech
oh god that wing looks so terrible....

scubie02
That pic really doesn't do that wing justice--if you see it from the front or side or whatever it looks HUGE...

A-Tech
it looks huge already, its hanging off of the rear deck lid!

Can anyone explain to me why a spoiler is needed PERIOD on a FWD car? Traction on the rea wheels? No sensico

That's fantastic, take a car with a 'new edge' type styling theme and add a smooth, swoopy wing to it. That's a great idea!! :slap:

That guy should clean his car! I would never let a car of mine get that dirty, and not clean it. :wow: :thumbsdow :crying: :rice:

scubie02
Well, in these parts even if it had been clean when he started it would have looked like that after the ride in on the crappy winter roads. You should see my wrx--mud all up the sides half the time this time of year!
