View Thread: Nissan Recalls Millions of cars!

Just thought I would pass on this substantial recall put out by Nissan for 23 different models. I like how they call the 350Z the Fairlady Z. I like 350 better!

its a good job the GT-R is ok. i didnt read the article but its to do with the crank and cam shaft position sensors screwing up, which shuts the engine down at whatever speed you happen to be travelling at.

The 18th Letter
I like the name Fairlady Z and Silvia more.

I think this includes the G35 too. My buddy with the black G35 coupe said he heard his car is getting recalled as well. Makes sense since it's the same engine.

RedLine
Oh dear, does this include 2004 Maximas?

Hopefully you will be notified. Otherwise, just give your dealer a call. Most likely the work they need to do is not all that much. And yes, the Z is included in the recall

Yeah, the dealer normally sends you a letter. I have no problem with recalls to be honest. No automaker will ever be perfect and if they screw up, I want to know about it asap and want them to fix it asap.

It's better than VW/Audi saying "You're coil pack will fail, in fact all 4 of them will fail. Sorry. When you break down, even if it's all the way up in Detroit and the auto show, we'll fix it. But before that, you just have to wait". That kinda pissed me off (and I know it did Nogaro, he got stranded in Detroit!!!). My wife commutes in that car and it pissed me off. I know they were short on parts from their supplier, but it is yet another time where VW didn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling.

I know that feeling. Boy did that suck when my 2nd one died while I was in Detroit, but I know you already know the story.

:audi: Horray for coilpacks!
