Ok anyone know the height, width, length, weight for the 4A-GE 16V engine and 5 speed tranny? Its from the rwd 84-87 Corolla GTS btw.

There is 500 points for the person with the complete answer

are you looking to drop on in your spitfire?

Arthur Dent
yes - a GTS with body damage for sale here for $500Cdn. I think it should fit ok.

I'll use a quote I read in June's GRM:

Any engine will fit if you have a welder.

I know the specs as far as internal dimensions, but not the outside measurements. Sorry.

Check with Toysport for good info. http://www.toysport.com

BTW, the later, FWD Corolla GT-S coupes had the small port 4A-GE, with a higher output (140hp), and no messy TVIS setup. They should fit into the RWD AE86 Corolla transmission with no problems. Same thing for the supercharged 4A-GZE in the 1988-1989 MR-2.

they fit the tranny alright BUT all the accessories are in the wrong spots. IF I do this I'll use a rwd motor so there is the least amount of hassles as possible.

Found it!!!

Although I have thinking more and more about making a Locost next year instead (with either Corolla GTS or 1st gen RX-7)
