If there is one rally that tests the strength and reliability of World Rally Cars to the utmost, it is Greece. The Acropolis Rally is characterised by searing heat, enormous rocks, and rutted roads: a perfect recipe for mechanical torture. But both Skoda Motorsport drivers feel confident heading into the sixth round of the World Rally Championship (June 5 - 8).

I lost interest in WRC a little but ill still watch it if its on at a good time. F1 took over for me.

I'm a big rally fan. I wish it was on more often. :rally:

Maybe. F1 is on only 2 times a month but thats a good span.

2 times a month would be a little better.

kak
Btw; Think of the heavy load of motorsport-updates on kak.net if ALL motorsport should be twice a month? :D

Skoda Motorsport drivers Didier Auriol and Toni Gardemeister explain the challenge of june's demanding gravel double act of the Acropolis and Cyprus rallies. Both Acropolis and Cyprus are known for their rough gravel roads. Are they really very similar or are they subtly different?

The Skoda Motorsport World Rally Team has again finished a World Rally Championship event in the championship points when Didier Auriol finished today’s final leg of the Acropolis Rally in ninth place. East Coasters, the Acropolis Rally is on the Speed Channel right now.

kak
It's bad that Petter Solberg missed out the second position... but it's not bad with a third position either! :)

mustangdriver
He's probably my favorite driver so I'm upset about that as well. 3rd isn't bad though, you're right.

kak
Let's hope for better positions for Petter Solberg next time! He's norwegian you know! :D

mustangdriver
I did know that :D He's my favorite driver as well :pd:
