My wife has a Schwinn mountain bike and a really expensive Giant race bike that she never rides :D

Did or does your wife ever ride/race?

I race a lot, on the road and mountain, its great!

She used to yeah. We had a Century race at our school that was pretty popular on the East Coast.

I never really got into it but I like some offroading from time to time.

Thats good! Was it a century on the road?

You should go out more, you are really missing out.:tahoe:

Yeah, it was a road century. It's called the "Seagull Century"

I'm content racing my car at the moment :D

Ok. Here's mine. It's a Murray Ultra Terrain 15 Speed. I just fixed it up a bit and got it lubricated so I can ride it again. The neighbor's kid has been wanting me to race him. He's like 7 years old. He's got a singal speed bike, so I'm able to smoke him almost everytime. He used to be able to beat me when I first started riding the bike after oiling it. The damn chain kept slipping. But, it's all lubed and it's working properly and the tires are pumped up. I have a speedometer, but the battery is dead. Fastest I've gone on this thing was 32 MPH downhill. I also have a light on it because I used to ride in the dark when I was younger. I have a slight problem with the brakes though. It won't skid. No matter how tight I make the brakes, it won't skid. I rubbed my finger on the rims and they are smooth as glass. Would it be better if I take some degreaser and washed that off, then take sandpaper to it?

If you see just behind that gate, you'll sort of see my brother's Murray Ultra Terrain 18 speed. That's gotta be lubricated also and fixed up also. On both of them, I have changed the seats to the wider ones with the springs. That really makes it more comfortable. I hate those seats that come with a lot of bike. They go right up my :bootyshak . Doesn't feel very comfortable.

Well shit. I just used a 9 volt to charge the battery to the speedometer. That worked. So, I tried calibrating it. Tested it out with each calibration. BTW, I don't have the paper to it. It is a BX-617, probably by BikeXtra, speedometer. If anybody has the correct calibration number for a 26 inch bike, I'll appreciate it. Anyway. On the last test, I start pedeling and try to go fast. Then I have a blow out with my rear tire. I felt the air too. I kinda swerved all over the road a bit, but I got it under control and easily rode it back to the barn. My tires are cracked, so they'll have to be replaced along with new tubes. Good thing it didn't blow out when I was racing that kid. A blow out with the front tire would be worse.

I weigh about 245, so on my bike with the pedel cranks not even a foot long, I put out around 190-200 Foot/pounds of torque. :ghey: That is, if I stand on the pedels to get more speed, which is what I do when I wanna smoke the neighbor's kid. Can't do burn-outs though. But if I put it in First and give it enough torque, I can, "SORT OF" do a wheelie. :sombrio:

Why are you laughing?

kcg795
Because my fat ass can do about 190-200 FT/pounds of torque @ 50-60 RPMS. :D

Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure

You know, a very fit cyclist only produces about 1/3 of a HP.
