View Thread: OMG I have such a hard-on
Now that I have your attention... I am so close to getting my bike and I have to stare at this:
Anyone with a stock Hayabusa want to race to 160mph for cash?
I thought you were supposed to have it a few weeks ago?
They're just starting to filter into the dealerships all over the place, but not mine yet. I'm going berzerk!
Picked up a new helmet today too. Arai Quantum with Haga-3 graphics.
If I were you I don't think I'd be able to stand it. I'd be going nuts waiting. I guess you do have a bunch of other toys to play with.
first. holy fuck that is one hell of a bike
second. thats an awesome hemet
150hp bike. Wow!
One of my friends has one with about 120hp, and it ran a low 11 at 120mph or so, and he wasn't a very good at it yet (he'd only been riding bikes for 2 weeks or so).
It was definitely more bike than he needed for his first, but who knows.
150whp+ is more than you can really use on the roads. But it makes for great midrange response and passing.
I'm so dying to get my bike. It's killing me. I'm starting to dream about riding half the night. :(
I don't think it's 150 at the wheels. On the graph it says, "corrected horsepower."
That's 152whp dude. On a roller dyno. :)
Wow!! That thing should be scary fun!!
What kinda drivetrain losses to bikes have? i.e. what's the crank hp?
162-164 crank horsepower.
But, more importantly, what's the hp/l. Because we all know that's where true performance lies. :tahoe:
Btw...you can rent cbr 600s in cancun for 20 bucks an hour....pretty good deal when scooters cost 10. I didn't have the balls to battle mexican traffic without any gear, though...
998cc. Figure it out...
And yeah, the Hayabusa can be built to make 230whp naturally aspirated. It's way understressed in stock format.
I was told never to ride a bike like that. I would like it too much, go buy one, then get myself hurt or dead somehow.
I've ridden on the back of a Harley, and driven a moped before, and judging from how much fun just doing that was, I think the person giving the advice was right.
If my car had 900hp, it would just barely be as fast (from a dead stop) in a straight line as my GSX-R 1000 will be. Provided I could shift it with a sequential.
It takes someone with plenty of focus, a will to live and a responsible frame of mind to ride one of the litre bikes.
