What do you think? I'm digging the picture. Looks a lot meaner than it did before :D

Dayum, doesn't that have a Cobra engine in it or something along those lines? I think I heard 450hp somewhere

It looks cool, but I have to admit that partof me never gets the whole Lightning/sport truck thing. If you want a truck, the lightning is fairly useless, and if you want a sports car...well, get a sports car.

This one at least looks better, though. I wonder if all the new Ford trucks will have a similar look--I have to admit to not being crazy about the most recent full size styling (like the Rangers though).

Judging by the trucks at the auto shows, that is the new style for the F150.

I like it a lot, it looks sleaker(and meaner) than the current lightning....I dont know if I like the rims....they dont look like they fit the truck.

Cool--I definitely like it better than the previous F-150 styling. They actually made it more like the new Ranger, which I also think looks good. (Although lets face it that big plastic grill is just waiting to get smashed out if you take it off road).

I should take a new one for a test drive, but I'm afraid I'll like it more than my current ranger and get the buy bug :) . And my next "bug" should be a summer 2 seater sporty type car hehehe

Its rather close, its normal sohc truck V8 with a roots type supercharger sitting on top of it....correct me if I'm wrong but isnt it a 351 (5.7 L or so, theres 60 cubes to a liter but it all depends on what way they wanna round it) :tahoe:

I never looked at it that way scubie02, that kinda of makes sense of what my dad was trying to tell as he said he'd never buy a "sport truck".

I dig the notion of a sport truck. A vehicle that can haul your race car, then go to the track and haul ass. I like it!

BTW, it is a 5.4 which is like a 330.

Carlos Carrera
I like it. But i dont think ''sport truck'' is correct, is more like a ''Drag Truck''. Cause it only works in straight line.

lexus1581
i like the sqare lines and it looks very bold

Eh, there is an SVT Lightning that is a regular at the autocross track. And that thing kicks some serious butt. And that's saying something b/c autoX is more about handling than acceleration.

The concept has an Independent rear suspension too which should make it even better.

mrgokou
kinda looks liek it's been inspired by the concept Mustang.

that burnout pic, just made me bust-a-nut.
Thats f*cking a truck.

eric
Wouldn't it be a little easier for a truck to do a burnout, due to the fact that it has alot less weight on the rear?

I didnt know about that.
:banghead:

The 500hp doesn't hurt the burnout capability either....

lexus1581
that reminds me that yesterday i saw a saleen mustang with so much torque when starting at a green light it would burn out first and then a couple seconds later the chassis would completely twist it was an amazing site... i never really loved mustangs but damn that mustang was fine

masestylez
Twisting of the chassis isn't something I bet the owner likes. :D I still don't think I could buy a sport truck but it looks mean

lexus1581
the owner of the car was an idiot though he couldnt control that car for shit and he didnt even really know how to shift gears

masestylez
Goes back to my motto, "just because you can buy it, doesn't mean you can drive it"
